The former mayor of Mallakastra, Agron Kapllanaj, has spoken again regarding the serious incident where, according to the State Police and then SPAK, BKH agents and Operational officers who were on duty were raped by the former mayor's men.
He denies having attacked BKH investigators and says that the cause of the conflict was the filming of the police vehicle's license plate.
Kapllanaj himself claimed that one of the company employees gave the license plate to a traffic officer and after verifying it, he announced that this car was not registered.
This statement caused a clash in the studio, where journalist Lala said that this means the police are subjugating themselves to the "strongmen" in the districts. She added that by interfering with the system for identifying the license plate of the BKH investigators' vehicle, they have violated the law and should be questioned for this.
"In these 24 hours there have been some news and I was forced to clarify. Because I was present myself when the people in question were in my brother's business.
A civilian car with 4 people inside, 1 lady and 3 gentlemen, blocked the parking lot and set up a drone, after 15 minutes they returned to the same place. The guard called the company's general director Orjan Isufaj and said that he was impressed by the people.
As we asked, the lady said that we want to buy a property. The director says that if you are interested, find the right place and take the drone, as this property is not for sale. Then the director takes a photo of the license plate of the car because we thought that they were people who could be of different categories, but we knew that they were police officers.
One of the company's people gave the license plate to a traffic officer and he said that this license plate was not registered.
We filmed because we wanted proof that if we had an event, we could have a clue.
That was enough to escalate the situation after those people asked the person to delete the photo, he sent it to me and 2-3 of my people. The person who was behind the wheel in the role of the driver threatens him and says that if he doesn't delete it you have no idea what he will find and starts cursing the director and the owner of the company. The director calls me and tells me that he was threatening me, I am forced to get out but they leave.
In these conditions, the director tells me we need to file a report. We head to the police department, where I contact the guard officer and ask to meet one of the police officers. They tell me that this car belongs to the police.
"My grandchildren have asked the police to verify this license plate. None of the people were hit ," Kapllanaj told "Open".
