GJKKO has started the trial for the mayor of Rrogozhina, Edison Memolla, who is accused of "active corruption in elections".
SPAK's investigations against Memolla started after an audio recording. In the audio, Edison Memolla, at that time a candidate for Mayor of Rrogozhinë, is heard influencing the electrician Blerim Xhamani, not to cut off the electricity to a debtor subscriber. All this was done in order for the citizen to vote in his favor in the partial local elections on March 6, 2022.
SPAK says that the investigations also confirmed that Memolla communicated with the citizen Blerim Xhamani, for employment in the Rrogozhin Municipality, in exchange for a vote, and that the other defendant, Ndriçim Tafxhafa, promised a citizen to pay off her obligations to OSHEE and housing, asking for her vote. .
SPAK also says that Blerim Xhamani and the other defendant Isuf Tosku have also falsified the data of the minutes of the electricity interruption, presenting false data, since they did not actually interrupt the energy of the debtor subscriber.
