The Untouchable (Bana) King of Cocaine

Just a few days ago, a truck apparently loaded full of bananas left the Port of Durrës completely clandestinely, and returned just as clandestinely inside it after a few hours. At the wheel is the citizen DH as the driver, whom the police have declared wanted and for whom they have not given any details other than the initials.

In the main port of the country, with the presence of the police like never before because of the season, but also because of the repeated alarm about the traffic of narcotics, with million euro contracts for scanners that must check the trucks, with monitoring towers with cameras and with working protocols, the implementation of which should not allow any citizen or car to go out without being checked, the most unbelievable happens.

What does not happen even in the most lost countries of the globe, happens in the Port of Durrës. An anonymous driver enters the port, takes the truck, keeps it for a few hours and then parks it back inside the port. He comes out and runs away to disappear under the slogan "wanted" until the case is archived from the public memory and therefore also from the institutions that should investigate it, the Police and the Prosecutor.

The reaction of the Police, considering this whole scandal as banana smuggling, is just as unbelievable. If other lost countries somewhere in the world can have ports, where trucks and barges enter and leave unchecked from the main points of the country, it is certain that there is no other place on the globe where 5 people are investigated for smuggling some boxes of bananas. Such a level of mediocrity, not to mention involvement in crime, has not dared to show any country, no matter how lost in the world. But it happens in the Port of Durrës.

It is not even the first time that the BanaKing company has repeatedly become the protagonist of cocaine trafficking situations. Its owner, Trifon Murataj, an Albanian citizen who divides his stay both in Albania and in America, has only been content with giving a few media statements.

His main argument has been the same; competing companies want to damage his business by putting cocaine inside BanaKING's trucks.

The same company has repeatedly had loads of cocaine seized in its trucks, but the same company has the most unbelievable incidents that could ever happen in the transport and business market. The trucks of this company are attacked on national roads, the containers of this company are forgotten in the Port without being picked up by anyone, the security seals for BanaKING cargoes happen to be changed and the company never knows anything.

These and others have only happened to this company until today, and again the Police and the Prosecutor have not taken the slightest effort to investigate what is really happening with the mass traffic of cocaine from a company that seems to be nothing but bananas, he has the cocaine incidents as a second business.

The most recent case overcomes any doubt that this company has strong support from criminal groups, which separately or in cooperation with the company itself, control entire segments of the Police and Prosecution, taking such initiatives worthy only of movies.

Because no truck or barge can leave the Port of Durres without being checked without the cooperation of the highest structures of the Police, Customs, SHISH, or all the institutions that are present at the Port of Durres. No company or criminal group would take such initiatives without having guarantees from the highest levels.

Of course, no individual would hijack a truck to take it out of the port, under the threat of such great risk, to smuggle a few crates of bananas (in addition, he was stingy in that he did not smuggle all the crates of the truck but only a few of them).

All suspicions lead to one of the cases of cocaine trafficking done in such a bold and open manner that it can be fairly assumed that only two types of traffickers do it, either the state itself, or criminal groups that have replaced the state itself.

Trifon Murataj and BanaKing deserves the name "King of Bananas", if you look at the banana import figures. Of course, the king of advertising in the media, if you see how much budget he spends on banana advertising. But if the title "King of Cocaine" was given by noting the amount trafficked and the way he did it, definitely BanaKing of Cocaine fully deserves it.

And while the police are looking for the DH driver who took the truck out of the Port on the suspicion that he was going to traffic 5 crates of bananas, the prosecution would do well to investigate the basis because as much cocaine and as much budget as this criminal market generates, of course tomorrow there will be no limit to anyone's corruption who governs this country./ VOICE
