The Albanian Minister of Economy in North Macedonia from the BESA party, Besar Durmishi, has reacted after the publication of the message of the Albanian Foreign Minister, and the comment made by the latter about the Albanians of North Macedonia.
In a Facebook post, Besar Durmishi says that the vocabulary used by Minister Hoxha is disappointing and inappropriate, adding that they expect an urgent reaction and clarification from official Tirana. He says that Minister Hoxha should apologize to the Albanians of North Macedonia for the insults he caused.
"The language of the Albanian Foreign Minister, Mr. Ferit Hoxha, who calls the Albanians of North Macedonia "idiots" is disappointing and unacceptable. We expect an urgent reaction and clarification from official Tirana, while Minister Hoxha must apologize to the Albanians of North Macedonia for the insults he has caused. This kind of language violates every ethical and professional code and is scandalous for a representative of a state ," he writes.
Durmishi reminds the minister that he has a constitutional obligation to care for his compatriots living outside the borders of Albania and that the Albanians of North Macedonia are not neighbors, but an inseparable part of the national trunk.
