Durim Bami is one of the most popular names in the media these days, after the mega operation of SPAK, for hitting the 7 most dangerous criminal groups in the country.
Durim Bami is not an unknown name actually.
He became famous years ago, when he was accused by Tom Doshi, that he was paid by Ilir Meta to kill him.
Doshi's accusations shocked Albanian politics at the time and nearly broke the SP-LSI coalition.
It is not known how true these accusations were, but the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana at that time demanded 1 year in prison for Tom Doshi, Mark Frroku and Durim Bami, who were accused of "false report".
Durim Bami was released and continued his life, while over the years he was called several more times to the Police, for various criminal charges.
But that's all, since he was released. Like all the others in fact, starting from Vis Martinaj, who knew about the crimes of the square, but no one dared to touch them from the police.

Bami was caught trying to leave for Montenegro. After his arrest, he said he was a contract killer and had been paid by Ilir Meta to kill Tom Doshi. On July 4, 2018, he was released by the Court, after the latter sentenced him to 1 year in prison for "false report", but to serve the sentence on "probation".
Likewise, the 41-year-old was suspected in 2004 of an attempted murder. He is suspected of murdering Erzen H. and Hasan K.
Also, Durim Bami turns out to be the last person who met the citizen Enver Stafuka. Earlier, he was sentenced to 4 years in prison for the criminal offense of hostage taking.
Bami was also detained in September 2018 by a RENEA operation in Nikël, after information that there were weapons, drugs and explosives in the residences of the powerful in this area.
