The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, was asked today in the Law Commission if the SPAK mega-operation where 7 criminal groups were hit in the country was de-conspired by the Police.
He said that to his knowledge, the mega-operation where 50 arrest warrants were issued has not been de-conspired.
'We have found senior leaders of the state police connected to crime, it is horrifying when they become part of and cooperate with organized crime. The former operational director, several crime bosses, and I cannot sit without addressing this concern, but since we have a very good cooperation with the state police, I cannot sit without saying it.', Dumani said.
Meanwhile, the 4 officers who cooperated with criminals, discovered in the last SPAK operation, have been dismissed from the law enforcement.
They are Klodian Shahini and Henerigert Mitri. In the SPAK file, it was clarified that when they were leaders in the Lezha police, they cooperated with Edison Recin to carry out his revenge against Preng Gjin.
Klodian Shahini is suspected of using his position as a police officer, to have helped Elson Reçin to verify for him the license plates of the vehicles used by Preng Gjini, as well as all the entrances and exits of the latter from the border points in the country.
From the decryption of the coded applications, the conversations between the arrested persons who belong to the criminal groups hit by SPAK have emerged. These interceptions alone are 20 bundles, while the court's decision is 243 pages long.
Out of 50 arrest warrants in total, 14 of them were executed within the country, while another 6 were executed abroad, 2 in Italy, 1 in Germany, 1 in Spain and 2 in Belgium. 30 others are still being sought, among them the former deputy of the SP, Arben Ndoka.
During the checks in the villas of the crime bosses, around 3 million euros in cash, gold and other assets were found, totaling 4.5 million euros. The Special Prosecutor's Office hit the criminal group of Ervis Martinaj, who in alliance with the group led by the former deputy of the SP, Arben Ndoka, and collaborator with the criminal group of Avdylaj in Durrës, recruited hitmen who operate mainly in the area of Fushë - Kruja and in the area of Burrel. They also contacted Emiljano Shullazhin for the murder of Durim Bami.
