The Ambassador of Germany to Albania, Karl Bergner, while speaking about the reform in justice, sent a clear message to the Albanian politics that the one of 2016 should not be affected in any way.
He said that corruption and organized crime are a problem and a big danger for the development of the country and for German investments coming to Albania.
"Corruption and organized crime are problems not only for German investments in the country, but also for the economic development of the country, but also on the road to European integration of the country. We are very happy about the adoption of the justice reform in 2016, which laid the foundations and makes a very important contribution to improving the situation in the country and ending the culture of impunity. In our view, the 2016 justice reform should not be affected. The changes can only be made to expand the scope of activity of this reform in other sectors of the country ", said the ambassador of Germany in an interview for A2 CNN.
Meanwhile, regarding the recent arrests, the German ambassador said that the time of impunity has ended in Albania.
" The most obvious success of this reform is the work of SPAK, which has resulted in important arrests and without being concrete with names, the time of impunity has reached its end. Everyone is subject to law enforcement and this is very good news for all Albanian citizens ," he said.
