Journalist Enton Abilekaj, commenting on the prime minister's latest action to free up public spaces, stated that Edi Rama is attacking his own government to cover up the failures of the last 12 years.
According to him, this action shows that the institutions have failed throughout this period in controlling the territory. He further emphasized that after a few weeks the action will be forgotten and the occupation of public spaces will begin again.
"The time is coming for us to see it clearly. We are no longer curious, because nothing great has come of all these expectations. What Rama is practically doing is attacking his own government, Rama against the Rama government. He is trying to show people that this fourth term is not in vain. For this reason, he is attacking the first three terms. Of course, this is being done in a completely partisan manner. So far, the institutions have failed to control the territory.
Instead of a temporary action, a new period should begin, with a deep restructuring of institutions. But such an analysis and reflection will not happen, because we will only have a transitional campaign, which will then be undone and everything will return to the way it was before, corruption, tenders, construction with or without permits, tips and bribes. What Rama is doing is an organized attack not only on his government, but also on independent institutions. He himself decides on the demolition of buildings with permits, putting the state in debt with the private sector, a debt that is then translated into court decisions to the detriment of Albanian citizens. It is a demonstrative, irresponsible and organized movement only to show that the fourth mandate has begun and that there is no time to waste , "Abilekaj told "Syri TV".
