Although no official document has been made public, the investigations show that an authentic decision of the Greek authorities has been administered, which confirms the conviction of Irena Gjoka on July 7, 2005 by the Court of Ioannina.
Former prosecutor Ervin Karanxha described the case as a vetting failure, raising questions about how a person with a criminal record managed to pass the verifications and exercise functions in a sensitive justice institution.
He raised doubts about who introduced this person into the judiciary, calling him a 'virus'.
"In this specific case, we are finding that in the Vetting process, a mouse got stuck and a big bear got through. In the vetting, one of the pillars was the purity of the image, which we have failed here. The fact that Irena Gjoka with three surnames is convicted shows a decline in the vetting system, but Irena Gjoka has also passed a special commission. The file that Irena Gjoka has passed must be looked at. A person who has such a problem should not be admitted to such institutions that have many filters. She was convicted in 2005. A judge cannot forge a visa.
At this moment it should not have been taken at all. There is another risk, that someone could know this information and use it as blackmail. I also note something else, how is it possible for such long investigations to take so long. Here is Janina! This is a failure. We should have taken measures earlier to not let it get this far. Berisha has been consistent. Here we have a virus. Who put this person in there?! Here we have Irena Gjoka, convicted, deported, with a blackmail file ," said former prosecutor Karanxha on the show "Real Story".
