Journalist Artan Hoxha has made an analysis of Albanian organized crime in the world. He spoke about large amounts of cocaine being trafficked by Albanian groups, which have left the authorities of foreign countries speechless.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed", Hoxha said that Albania is mentioned in the media and international reports and that Albanian organizations are increasing their importance in the hierarchy of global crime.

He was a police officer himself, and a member who was at that meeting told me that among the successes they were presenting were these anti-cannabis operations, which we made a name for this year, and they showed him aerial footage of plantations and ground operations to annihilated. Only the last contacts I have had, with institutions that deal with narco-trafficking and security, funded by the United Kingdom and the USA, the essence of their reports and the information they were looking for was what is the level of Albanian organized crime in narco-trafficking? Mainly in cocaine, heroin traffic. Have Albanians entered synthetic drugs?
Albanians are no longer who they were ten years ago. We have our international lines of cocaine traffic, which is the narcotic that brings the lion's share of the world. They have their own lines, their own people on the ground, control over the majority of traffic, from Latin America to Europe, to Australia, to the USA, to Africa. These are proven, court records.
We have gone to all these continents, we have our dead there, who are our drug traffickers. We have taken operations that the historical Italian mafia organizations have allowed us, that they have given us in the beginning and then with the spirit of adventurers and irresponsibility, that we do not value life, we find ourselves in this situation.
We are at a moment when our agencies today are unprepared and have insufficient means to deal with organized crime in Albania, the Albanian criminal organizations that operate outside Albania, we have organizations that have a larger budget than the Ministry of Internal. If a criminal organization moves 32 tons of cocaine to you in five weeks, what do you expect to happen?
The Belgian federal prosecution had put its hands on its head. Seen in this prism, we have such a differentiation, organizations that operate abroad and have no connection other than origin, we also have organizations that operate in Albania, invest in Albania or are involved in developments that take place in Albania.
Those operating in Albania are related to law enforcement agencies and the administration in Albania. You can't operate if you don't have a guarantee. Those who are outside have no need. Due to the large amounts that move, in Albania it becomes very obvious that if you put in 10 million dollars at once and there is no business company or strong connection in the government, you cannot get a construction permit.
