The mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, has denied that he resigned from office.
It was reported in the media that he has been officially investigated by SPAK and this has led him to resign.
But he reacted on social networks with irony.
" I don't know where the hell some portals found out that I resigned, that it was a secret until tomorrow! But now that it came out, I'm also telling the reason: Tomorrow I will be elected President of America at the request of two other candidates, since I showed it in Shkodër because I am likable for both parties ", he writes.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Beci is under investigation by SPAK. Beci appeared on Friday and gave statements to the Special Prosecutor's Office. Beci is suspected of violations committed during his previous duties, not as mayor of Shkodra.
So, it is learned that Beci's lawyer has become familiar with the data of SPAK at the end of the investigations.
Beci was earlier the chairman of the Albanian Development Fund and the Electric Energy Corporation, that is KESH.
