The former senior director of the State Police, Shemsi Prençi, has revealed new details of the criminal activity of Amant Josif, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, involved in the scandal of extorting millions of euros through a call center scheme.
In an interview for the show "Ora e Biti" on 'Ora News', he said that Josif's main call center was in a state building. According to him, a part of the police could not act, because they were paid not to talk about this phenomenon.
" The company that operates Amnat Josif's army of companies is located in a state building. They have cheated an amount equal to half of the state budget in one year, and this has also affected the decline of the euro in Albania. In 2017, this pyramid system through call centers began to flourish with galloping steps. The police could not act because some of them were paid not to talk about this phenomenon. And surprisingly they were silent about this phenomenon. Investigations of this have come from our partners. More than 17,000 people have been cheated from Albania ", said Shemsi Prençi, among others.
