Journalist Artan Hoxha has discussed the Beleri case, which has created tension between Albania and Greece, because the elected mayor of Himara continues to be in a cell and is not allowed to take an oath.
Artan Hoxha stated that there is evidence that Fredi Beleri bought votes and that he has seen this evidence, but he cannot present it at this moment, because the legal process would be broken.
"The Prime Minister during the campaign personally dealt with Beleri, insulting him. Let's come to the part, is there any evidence for Mr. Beleri? Is the flagrant conduct of Mr. Beleri justified?
Is there evidence? Yes, there is evidence. I have seen the evidence and I have it. They can't come out now because they disrupt the investigation. We cannot do what the Greek colleagues did, who took out the names of the officers.
Even Greece has paid with its own funds to build our justice institutions.
The Beleri case has been raised in all the chancelleries in Europe as if the rights of the minority are being violated. Why don't they raise this problem in Finiq or Dropull? The Himara area is not a minority area. There is a Greek-speaking community there. There is the river of Vlora, Borshi, whole areas.
We are faced with this fact, the Beleri case is a judicial legal matter. Then we have artificially raised issues. This has three people in charge, Berisha, Meta who nominated him and then Edi Rama", declared Hoxha.
