Analyst and journalist Mentor Kikia commented on the "Tempulli" anti-drug mega-operation spread over 5 counties, where 23 criminal gangs were hit and 223 people were arrested.
In an interview for the show "Open" on "News24", Kikia stopped the production of the narcotic substance, saying that it is synthetic and the addiction it creates in the user is high and fast. So much so that he called this narcotic substance "the drug of the poor", due to its cheap price (compared to cocaine) and its distribution in the poorest cities of Albania.
"This new product, be it in composition, in the way of packaging and trafficking, has raised a global alarm. Since it is produced in laboratory conditions in China, it is easier for products to penetrate into other countries. As part of the operation, not only traffickers of this narcotic were arrested, but also of other types.
Since it is not an expensive drug like cocaine, it has reached the targets of the country's poorest cities. What is more serious is that users of natural drugs become addicted to these synthetics, the new type of drug that is taking over the world. This is a street drug, the drug of the poor, and traffickers are offered to find clients in schools. At first they are lured with cheap or free prices. Since it creates addiction very quickly, the user will look for it faster ", said Kika.
