If we search on the portal of the National Employment and Skills Agency, in one month the results show that one of the most requested jobs in Albania is that of service staff, starting from waiters, bartenders, cooks, sanitary workers, etc.
In just one month, it can be seen that 129 vacancies for waiters are listed at the National Employment Agency. Service structures related to the flow of tourists are facing a collapse for the workforce.
"We have an unspecialized workforce today in terms of the tourism industry, for two reasons: the first is the lack of academic alternatives to study or prepare a work group that will serve the tourism industry, and the second is income. The staff or work force in the tourist industry on the Albanian coast works for 6 months or 7 months at most. And for the rest of the year, they are forced to reorient themselves in other industries that provide them with work throughout the year," said Ferjolt Ozuni, Tourism Expert.
In the jobs listed at the Employment Agency, what is noticed is the fact that job seekers have a need for unqualified workers, while the ones most in demand are salesmen, florists, construction workers, carpenters, manual workers, employees in markets, drivers, etc./Scan
