The repatriation of the remains of the former prefect of Tirana, Qazim Mullet, has once again sparked debate. The parties are divided, in those who consider him as a patriotic and intellectual figure, and others who label him as a collaborationist because he was a high subordinate during Nazi-fascism.
In an interview for Report TV, his granddaughter, Fatbardha Mulleti, said that Besim Levonja's comedy "The Prefect" marked the lives of his family members, making his only son and his wife the object of ridicule, with this dramaturgical part that she considers completely alienated.
He further showed that the author of the comedy, whom Qazim Mulleti himself had intervened to save from Tirana prison, had never communicated with them, but the other artists never apologized either.
Opinion is also divided on this point, considering that artists should not be associated with the political issues of the time. One of the actors who played in the comedy "The Prefect" is Astrit Çerma, who reacted as follows regarding his acting in this part.
"I have played 'The Prefect' about 100-150 times. Maybe even more, because only on the stage of Skampa, as far as I remember, there were over 120 performances. From these exclude 14 performances where the honorable Hysen Biza played and where we were both doubles in the two roles of Qazim and the mute.
The comedy began with the reading of the tract:
O Qazim more Qazim,
Your work is close.
Donkey you, donkey who put you
Today or tomorrow the wood will wave..
Now we had nothing left but to start the COMEDY with another "tract":
O Qazim, take Qazim,
Your arrival only excites us,
You donkey, who cares for you,
After all, you remain at... stay...', writes the actor on social media.
