Former Orange comedian Florian Binaj, who has stood out with his imitation of Edi Rama in his career, will be the candidate of the largest opposition party for mayor of Tirana.
Binaj has a long career in humor and in the past has not hidden the excellent relationship he has with Edi Rama, with whom he has publicly exchanged praise and compliments.
Thus, Binaj has been contracted by the Socialist Party in several activities to make those in power laugh, and in one of them, he even expressed gratitude to Edi Rama, to whom he dedicated the success he had in his early days on stage.
"9 years ago when I entered Portokalli, it was my first meeting with the current leader of the SP, who gave me a tangerine, which brought me a lot of luck, so today I give him an orange," Binaj declared at an SP activity held a few years ago.
Rama also did not skimp on gifts, even taking off his collar and giving it to the comedian as a sign of gratitude, quoting Agron Llakaj who imitates Berisha with the words "he deserved it".
"I don't know who became more famous than the other, this one from me or me from this one... but since he gave me the orange, I will take off this tired tie and give him mine, because as Agron Llakaj says, "he deserved it," Rama said.
Even in the years that followed, the Orange comedian seems to have maintained mutual respect with the prime minister, who on the actor's 35th birthday, publicly congratulated him on his birthday, calling him a "king, with a beautiful world, talented and educated."

I have never understood politicians and leaders when they get annoyed, and sometimes enraged by being made fun of by comedians and cartoonists, who when they are talented like Flori and the boys and girls of Portokallije, like Sajmiri of Fiksit and Stopit or the father of their entire generation, Agron Llakaj or Bujar Kapexhiu of satirical drawings, are a great delight for public life and a source of positive energy for the consumers of their art. Their art has had and still has a gentle, emancipatory and relieving power in those who follow them, and Flori is among those who deserve to be tipped off, for the significant fact that he does not fall into the typical pedantic vulgarities of some within that genre.
"Wishing my cheerful lookalike a happy birthday and health, creative strength and every kindness and prosperity for himself and his loved ones, I also wish that the positive energies of Flori and his talented colleagues on every screen will nourish the public as best as possible during this particularly challenging time for everyone," Prime Minister Rama wrote in a Facebook post.
