Journalist Armand Shkullaku has made serious accusations against Edi Rama, describing the current situation as a complete collapse of the state and a mafia takeover of institutions.
Referring to recent scandals, Shkullaku stated that the facts that have come to light explain the mechanism of electoral manipulation and massive misuse of public funds.
In his statements, he compared the government to a Sicilian-type mafia organization, with a 'capo dei capi' at the top, who controls the budget, taxes and public wealth, arbitrarily determining winners and losers in society. According to Shkullaku, affairs such as incinerators, healthcare, infrastructure and AKSHI are part of the same financial and political mechanism.
Shkullaku stated that every Albanian citizen has the right to demand the overthrow of a government that he described as a 'bandit regime', adding that Albanian society is facing a deep moral and political crisis.
" Can there be a parliament, the Albanian parliament, that does not vote on the immunity of a deputy, while there is a reputation for theft? No, they don't give us investigative committees, they don't give us. What investigative committees? Here, the entire state is stealing."
And at the top, the institution of the Prime Minister's Office, we have the chief bandit, or capo, as they call him. That's what I've always called him. That's why I've compared Rilindja, typically with the structure of a typical Sicilian mafia organization of the 80s-90s. So the whole structure, it's a capo, they come in turns, the bandits divide the districts, the regions, one deals with the racket, collects this, the other deals with money laundering, one deals with the burial of chemical waste, the incinerators in our case.
So this is how the mafia works. Attacks on incinerators, attacks on healthcare, attacks on AKSHI, attacks here, attacks there. So, in conclusion, Albania can no longer be called a state. So I've known it for a long time, but now it's come to light that you can no longer call it a state.

With so much that has come out, I think that, as I said, the opposition, every Albanian citizen has the right to demand the violent and forceful overthrow of a regime that is a bandit regime ", he said on "Syri TV".
