Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that Russia "without a doubt" will win the war, while warning that attacks on Ukraine will continue and will be "much more powerful" than the strikes carried out by Ukrainian forces.
Speaking at the "Everything for Victory!" forum, Putin accused what he called the "Russophobic part of the collective West" of fighting against Russia, but stressed that Moscow continues to move forward.
" Russia, without a doubt, will achieve victory ," the Russian president declared, according to the state-run TASS agency.
Putin also acknowledged that attacks by Ukrainian armed forces have caused difficulties in supplying oil products to Russia, but expressed confidence that the situation will improve.
" In terms of energy, our base in Russia is very strong and reliable. Yes, at the moment they have created some problems for us with oil products. I believe that gradually the situation will normalize ," he said.
The Russian president also warned that Moscow will continue to respond to Ukraine's attacks with even harsher strikes.
" Our responses will always be eye for eye. No matter where they try to strike inside Russia, our counter-response will be much more powerful. The enemy will feel it. He is already feeling it and will feel it on an ever wider scale ," Putin declared.
