The Supreme Court rejects the request of former President Ilir Meta, who had requested the disqualification of Judge Ilir Panda.
Meta has appealed the decisions of the Criminal Court of Kosovo to the Supreme Court, while seeking release from prison.
The former President has been under the security measure of 'prison arrest' since October 2024, while his case has been referred for trial.
Against the former President, SPAK has filed charges for "Passive corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials" in 3 (three) cases, of which in two cases it was committed in collaboration, "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" committed in collaboration and more than once, and "Refusal to declare, failure to declare, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public servants, or of any person who has a legal obligation to declare".
