Journalist Klodiana Lala has given details about Erzen Brecanin, who is in prison together with his son and several others for involvement in drug trafficking.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Lala emphasized that Breçani intended to have SPAK head Altin Dumani come to the court hearing.
According to Lala, Breçani's lawyers claim that the Prosecutor's Office has no evidence because they never had Breçani's phone.
" Breçani insisted that the head of SPAK attend the court session. So the Prosecutor was Vladimir Bara and the leader of the investigation was Altin Dumani. He claimed that he was in prison because of his son. The lawyers are aiming not to consider the data received from "Sky" as evidence. The prosecution does not have such evidence, for example as taking the mobile phone. Lala told Euronews.
On November 23, GJKKO issued the security measure of 'prison arrest' for Erzen Breçan, Dedan Gjon and Bujar Gërmizi, as well as Besmir Murati, closely connected with Gërmizi.
SPAK accuses the former deputy director of Tirana police, Erzen Breçani, of 2 charges of 'money laundering' and of supporting the perpetrators of the crime.
