Total 10 million Euros was given by QSUT to the private entity "AGS" for the laundry service, but after winning the tender, the rules of the game change and the service is not provided according to the terms of the contract.
According to the High State Control, during the audit carried out in the interior of the laundry, it was found that two professional washing barriers were not in working condition and were stored in a room inside the laundry.
The subject "AGS" has continued undisturbed, no longer working at full capacity, because, according to the SSC, the Directorate of Support Services at the SSC has not monitored the contract.
The violation of the contract continues with another fact ascertained by the KLSH, according to this institution, the economic operator "AGS" should have 7 types of bags for the collection of contaminated materials, but after the audit it turned out that it used only two types.
This has led to the lack of separation of materials with different risks, such as contaminated materials, or materials with microbiological risk.
As if non-compliance with the contract was not enough, the entity "AGS", with administrator Mrs. Alma Tafani has brought damage to the state budget and the QSUT, after declaring the weight of the materials that were washed to be greater than the real one.
More specifically, according to KLSH, since this company was paid a value higher than the real weight, it caused damage to QSUT in the amount of 11,032,753.88 and it must collect this unfairly profited amount in the State Budget by 31.03. 2024.
The administrator Alma Tafani did not accept the fact that two washing machines were out of order, while in connection with the return of the value of 11,032,753.88 ALL, she stated that she asked the audit group to repeat the weighing.
