Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu spoke about the arrest and release of lawyer Ulian Barjami after a clash with prosecutor Gjergji Ceka in a court session.
Spahiu stressed that the lawyer did not commit any criminal offense, but rather an ethical violation. He expressed concern about the lawyers' behavior during the process, but emphasized that the rhetoric used was not motivated by threats.
"It was an abuse of the judicial police officer's duty, it was not an arrest but a detention. The lawyer's rhetoric was considered a threat to the prosecutor of the session. It is a negative precedent that carries two dangers from both sides. One of the problems that remains today is the legal level of representation of lawyers leaves much to be desired. That rhetoric constitutes a violation of ethics in the session, but I do not think it was done with the motto of threats, but by the mediocre level of some lawyers who in some cases slip with the rhetoric they use. In this case, we are not dealing with a criminal offense and we must be on the side of the lawyer," he told "Report TV".
Spahiu also said that there should be a strengthening of lawyers' ethics during court hearings.
"There needs to be a strengthening of ethics. This is a negative practice that needs careful treatment. Now maybe the quantity, the age, I don't want to prejudge, because there are also lawyers who have studied abroad and in Albania and have a long experience. But the quantity also brings a decrease in quality," he said.

po nga e dime qe jan manipulu provat vetem se e tha nje avokat? edhe nqs jan vertet, pse avokatet e tjer s’e than asnje gje? pse s’u kapen dhe ata? ky vetem se i tha prokurorit ke bo manipulim edhe direkt e arrestun? dukej qe e kishte personale me prokurorin, edhe perpara asaj qe nigjum ne audio.. kto s’jan pune te thjeshta mo, jan te thella, ehaaaa…
