Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu, while commenting on the crackdown on Suel Çela's gang, whose assets worth €4 million were seized in Italy, said that we are still dealing with a presumption of innocence.
He said that the Russian, Chinese, Turkish, and Italian mafias are more dangerous than the Albanian ones, but they have fewer prisoners than Albanian gangs and groups.
"The fact that we have a high number of Albanians in Albanian criminal groups does not mean that they are the most dangerous in Europe. Based on statistics, the nationalities that have the most organized mafia are Russians, Chinese, Turks, Italians and Vietnamese, they are not in high numbers but in smaller numbers compared to Arabs and Albanians. The fact that we are loud does not mean that we have the most dangerous mafia. We are still in the initial organization of criminal structures.
In the case of Suel Çela, we are dealing with a presumption of innocence and we are in the conditions of seizure, because seizure is also imposed when verification is carried out. It does not mean that the purchase of a property in Italy was made with drug money, in Italy Albanians have access, they have hotels and they have restaurants, there are hundreds of Albanians in Italy who have facilities. As long as we do not have more evidence and we still do not know what will happen with this story , "he said on the show 'Frontline'
