The Elbasan Road Police has taken additional measures to facilitate traffic due to the increased flow on the occasion of the New Year.
The Traffic Police Services have increased 100% readiness in the field, as well as increased vigilance, in order to manage traffic, due to the flow of vehicles returning towards Tirana, as well as those moving towards Korça and the coast, mainly on the "Qafë thane-Elbasan" and "Rrogozhinë-Elbasan" axes.
Also, in support of the Traffic Police, the services of Public Order and those of the Shqiponja force of DVP Elbasan have been engaged in the field, for road safety and to guarantee that there will be no traffic jams.
The police appeals to drivers to moderate speed, show patience, stay in line and not make wrong passes, so as not to return to the source of traffic accidents or traffic jams.
"Citizens should strictly respect the traffic rules and follow the instructions of the Police services. We invite citizens to report to the free number 112, any violation of road traffic rules", says the press release of the Elbasan Road Police.
Meanwhile, an accident was reported on Tuesday on the road to Labinot-Fushë, near Elbasan.
There were no injuries from the accident, but only material damage.
Due to the blockage of the road, dozens of vehicles were stuck in traffic for several minutes, while the line extended to several kilometers.
