The Minister of Education Ogerta Manastirliu remembered to react 8 days after the fight near the "Fan Noli" school which ended in tragedy.
14-year-old Martin Cani, a student of this school, was shot several times with a knife by his peer Mario Përlleshaj. Unfortunately, the minor could not survive his injuries.
After the tragic event, police officers were added to the Fan Noli school. The conflict between peers that started on Friday and the continuation of the fight on Monday, which resulted in a fatality, has raised questions about safety in schools, while work continues as normal.
The Ministry of Education told "TCH" that it has launched an internal investigation, in addition to the justice bodies, to see how its dependent structures reacted and how the school directorate and staff managed it.
But even though 8 days have passed since the event, the Ministry says that they are still in the verification process and have not identified those responsible.
In the place where Martin's life was taken, the messages are endless from his classmates or all those who knew the 14-year-old. Among other things, it says: "I hope you are watching us from above and taking care of us".
