The Director of the Archives of Albania, Ardit Bido, has held an open conversation with members of the minority in Himare.
During the discussion about the self-declaration in the Census questionnaire, which is taking place recently, Bido has been involved in the debate with the citizens who participated in the open discussion.
One of the citizens addressed Bido saying "when I was Greek you didn't exist at all", in the middle of the debate about self-declaration in the census.
Bido stated that Beleri campaigned well, but had the largest number of immigrants who returned to vote, a high number that implies that there is an investment beyond the capabilities of a candidate.

Excerpts from the debate:
Bido: They could be tribes of typical Albanian origin, like the Bollans, the Belers, I don't know the Kokavesh because I can't speak.
Citizen: Avash you avash. When I was Greek you didn't exist at all.
Bido: I didn't come for a fight. You are who you want to be. That's why I came to Himare. Whoever listens to me understands what I say.
Citizen: If the mayor was at work... ask if he is Greek.
Bido: The individual you mentioned, Fredi Beleri, was a candidate here and ran a fantastic campaign. It received 35% of the resident population because it had the largest number of immigrants who returned to vote. I am not saying that they are not Himariots, but the very high figure, double of 2011, shows that there is an investment beyond the possibilities of a candidate.
Second, Beleri has stated that he is waiting for the census to declare more than 20% Greek. If the figure goes over 20%, I would not speak. He declared a false number and so I speak. He declared himself, it is on video...
