Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço spoke about the arrest of Astri Avdylaj, in his apartment in Shijak. Asked if Avdylaj was "betrayed" by bringing about his arrest, expert Karamuço said that he does not believe this fact.
In an interview for the show "360 Degrees" on ABC News, he explained that the operation to capture him was very well organized, while he showed that a device was installed that monitored the apartments remotely.
" None of the police stations were notified and the only one who found out was the Durrës district director. This was done by the special unit in the General Directorate. This arrest happened because they had installed a device that made remote surveillance of the apartments. This crossed with information that was coming in the operative way and made the final blow. He did not have the weapon in his belt, but it was a weapon that he had in the apartment.
The first time when his apartment was found, he was under house arrest. And he broke the house arrest and since that day he was wanted. So I don't think there was a betrayal, but it was the apparatus that left the most traces" , said the Criminalistics expert.
