For journalist Klodiana Lala, the dynamics of the Salaria incident where 44-year-old Italian businessman Eduardo Sarchi was killed is what has been made public in the media so far, according to the testimonies of people at the scene.
Invited to "This Week", Lala explained that on the evening of September 26, businessman Sarchi and Eqerem Braçi were having dinner at Salari in Tepelena with his son Gazment, when around 11.30 am, Eqerem's son, Gazment, went out hunting.
" On Friday, September 26, the 44-year-old Italian had been at the vacation home of Eqerem Braçi and his two sons, Gazmend and Daniel, in the village of Salari. Late in the evening, they went hunting in two vehicles.
On the road, near midnight, they encountered another vehicle, which had its high beams on.
It is believed that an argument broke out here, which led the parties out of their cars, as the high beams were not being turned off, obstructing visibility.
At the wheel, in the car in front, it turned out to be Kamber Sulçaj, a 48-year-old from the village of Mesaplik in the Vlora river area, whom, as they testified during their hours at the police station, the Braçs did not recognize.
The 48-year-old initially had a verbal conflict with the Italian and his friends who were accompanying him. Kamber Sulçaj then allegedly fired a powerful shotgun at them and the parked vehicles.
Sources from the investigation team say the suspect fired at the car's tires. A bullet ricocheted off the asphalt, caught in the main artery in the leg, and killed Edoardo Sarchin, who is believed to have been hiding behind the car.
The suspect was tracked down thanks to the security camera of an apartment in a nearby village.
"The police began searching for other home cameras in a wider perimeter, and managed to spot the car, days after the crime, as it approached a deep mountainous area between the villages of Nivicë and Bolënë ," she said.
Lala says that the businessman was under the barrage of bullets that the perpetrator Kamber Sulçaj, who used a gun with binoculars, fired at their cars.
" As a result of the bullet he received in the leg, there was bleeding, and since the barrage lasted for about 40 minutes, he was unable to escape, " she said.
Asked whether the perpetrator's attempt was to scare or kill him, journalist Klodiana Lala said that Sulçe had a criminal record and was highly dangerous, and his intention was to kill him.
But journalist Lala said that investigations and searches to capture the perpetrator are continuing.
" From the examination of cell phones, security cameras, how the perpetrator moved, where he hid the weapons and the car. The state police continue the action to search for him, since the Italian police have also requested information, and information has even been requested through diplomatic channels, the Italian media have raised suspicions about other events. As a journalist, I also have my suspicions and am following the investigations step by step. The suspected perpetrator may provide a different picture if he is arrested ," said Lala.
