The scandal with the condition of the Lower Burrel Ring Road is deepening, as the road segment is deteriorating more and more every day, showing collapses and subsidence along a significant part of its length.
The view shows that the previous damage has not been reconstructed by the contracting firm "Ulza sh.pk", which has led to a continuous deterioration of the situation on the ground.
Although the road was supposed to be in operation for at least six months, the 1.2 million euro investment has proven problematic, as the segment has suffered four major collapses, making it practically impassable.
A few months ago, the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH) sent a group of experts to assess the damage, announcing a new intervention to repair it. According to the experts, the construction of piles in a length of 300 linear meters is foreseen, but so far the investment has not started.
As a result of this situation, heavy vehicles continue to circulate through the internal roads of the city of Burrel, worsening traffic and increasing the concerns of residents.
