Skënder Hita signs changes in key structures, important leaders and strategic positions are affected...
The new Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, has initiated movements in the leadership structures, signaling a new phase of reorganization in the ranks of the blue uniforms.
Recent decisions have affected some of the key positions in local directorates, mainly in Tirana, but also in other regions. Sources indicate that the changes aim to increase efficiency and refresh management structures.
One of the most important moves is that of Besmir Dervishi , who leaves his post as deputy director of the Tirana Police and is appointed head of the Crimes Department in Kukës. His place in the capital is taken by Oliger Torba , who is transferred from the post of deputy director in Fier.
Meanwhile, at the central level, Hita has entrusted the leadership of the Operational Directorate to Alban Dautaj , an experienced name in the security field, who previously headed the Anti-Terror structure. The latter replaces Melsi Koçi , for whose departure no official explanation has been given.
Following the reorganization, Ermal Kënaçi was removed from the direction of Police Station No. 2 in Tirana and transferred to Kukës, while Gent Ndoj , former director of the Financial Crime Investigation, was sent to Dibër.
Changes have also been made in the national security structures. Edmond Sula has been appointed head of Anti-Terror , replacing Dautaj, while the traffic structure has also been moved to Tirana. The traffic commander, Joan Trungu , has been transferred to head the special force "Arrows".
These moves come just a few days after Director Hita also dismissed the head of the Roads Department in Tirana, Neritan Buzi , who has been transferred to Puka, without the official reasons being made public.
Such waves of transfers and appointments are interpreted as the first signal from the new leader to establish control and reformat the chain of command in the State Police, while changes are expected to continue at other levels. / Pamphlet
