The director of the Inspectorate of Territory Protection in Kurbin, Jetmir Muzhika, and the former director of IKMT Lezhë, Flori Gjini, will meet this Wednesday with the reassessment of the security measures.
Prosecutor Sabri Kastrati maintains the request for arrest in prison for Muzhika and Gjini, while the three inspectors of the Territory Protection Inspectorate who were suspended from their duties also appeared in court. They demand reinstatement, while they have been charged with the criminal offense of abuse of office.
The arrests came after a 6-month investigation by the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, where it was discovered that officials had allowed the construction of a building without a permit in Patok, owned by the 'drug baron', Gëzim Çela. The building adjacent to the 'Royal Blue' complex has been placed under preventive seizure by the Court of Lezha.
