In January 2023, the University of Korça "Fan Noli" opened a tender for the purchase of books for its library.
What is noticeable is the fact that a significant part of the books requested by the faculties are show bizz titles. Among them there are even books for children aged 8, which do not coincide with the level of knowledge that students should receive at the university.
To buy these books, Korça spent 4 million ALL. However, it is unclear the procedure that this university has selected which books deserve to have a place in the library of this higher educational institution. The company "Argenta" was declared the winner. From the research of the list, it is noticed that a significant part of the selected books are publications of this publishing house, raising questions about the tender procedures.
This list also includes 8 books authored by Mehmet Gëzhillin, who was the former owner of "Argenta".
A significant part of this list are lemonade books that are read on the beach or motivational books that have as authors public speakers and influencers.
"Awaken the Inner Giant" is one of them. With author Anthony Robinss, who is known for public speaking as a "life coach" - life coach and author of self-help books. A book that shows that success depends first on consistent values.
"Lumturohu" belongs to the category of books "self help books", i.e. books to help yourself...

"The Fragile Art of Not Giving a Fuck" authored by a blogger, is another book that the University of Korca ordered for its library. In the description of the book, it is said that it is a guide to personal development, which shows where the key to being happy lies.

"Pour positivity," says Mark Manson. “To be honest; sometimes, the things in our life are crap and we have to learn how to live with them", says the author of this book, which the students of Korça can also find in the university library. / Inside Story
