Journalist Ervis Iljazaj has stated that "Reestablishment" with today's agreement with SP, has become an ally of Prime Minister Edi Rama in the Assembly, for the laws that require more than 84 votes.
Iljazaj made his comments on the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin" on Euronews Albania, where he said that the opposition should not negotiate for 2 investigative commissions, but should at least negotiate with the majority for the release of the leader of the opposition, Sali Berisha, who is in " home arrest".
Iljazaj also said that either Gazment Bardhi and the democratic deputies have betrayed Berisha, or Rama is a democrat and he is the author of Berisha's imprisonment.
"Procedurally, maybe nothing has changed. From the political point of view, it has an important meaning. Today, for the laws with 84 votes in the Parliament, Edi Rama has allies Sali Berisha and Gazment Bardhi in the Parliament. So today they are considered as collaborators in the Parliament.
As for the agreement on who won and who did not, I call this an agreement in complete coherence on the part of the Reestablishment. Today, according to its principles, Reestablishment cannot be called opposition, as they have claimed that to cooperate with the government, you are Rama's king.
Reestablishment has articulated that Rama is the author of Berisha's imprisonment, as the one who seized justice in Albania, which declared Berisha non grata. Now to cooperate with Edi Rama, after these claims, is absurd.
The idea is here, you cannot cooperate with a man who imprisoned your leader, who captured justice and win 2 investigative commissions. At a minimum, when you negotiate, you should ask for the release of the opposition leader. There are two things here, either they betrayed Sali Berisha, or Edi Rama is not a dictator, he is a democrat", said Iljazaj.
