Albanian authorities have updated official data on the presence of Albanian citizens in several key countries in the Middle East, amid high regional tensions following the American-Israeli attacks on Iran and ongoing retaliations, highlighting the number of self-declared or registered residents and tourists.
According to the latest data from the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEFJ), there are around 1,500 resident Albanian citizens living and working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). For tourists or temporary visitors, the self-declared number ranges between 300–500 people, but this figure remains approximate due to frequent movements and visa-free entries.
The Albanian Embassy in Abu Dhabi is monitoring the situation and has made emergency lines available for any need. In Israel, 1,000 Albanian citizens are registered as residents. Authorities are following developments with increased attention, as 13 requests for evacuation have been submitted by our citizens there.
The Ministry calls on all Albanian citizens in Israel to exercise increased caution, avoid unnecessary movements and respect the safety instructions of local authorities.
