Analyst Neritan Sejamini, speaking about the investigation of the CEZ-DIA affair, stated that in the process of collecting the energy debts of the former CEZ company during the government of former Prime Minister Berisha, it was not only DIA administered by Kastriot Ismailaj, but also companies of others.
In an interview for the show 'Te Paespozuarit', he emphasized that it was also the company of an oligarch, for whom he said that it has wreaked havoc with the collection of energy debts owed by state entities as well as businesses and family subscribers.
Excerpts from the studio conversation:
Sejamini : He was the only DIA that collected debts and is the prosecution investigating them. I know DIA is not the biggest company, it's an oligarch's company that wreaked havoc. My question is: Is that oligarch's company under investigation?
Hoxha : The DIA was investigated because it had the largest volume and that it collected more than that oligarch you mentioned. There were also some media owners. Other companies stepped in when they saw that it was big money. The oligarchs entered.
Sejamini : This is how a business works. I believe that the prosecution is investigating, that Meta is innocent. Will the prosecution know that there are also other companies, that they will also be found to be corrupt. Is the prosecution investigating this crime, or only Mr. Meta?
Rakipi : They are writing to me that there are 5 powerful companies.
Sejamini : For us to be convinced that this is not a political investigation and that SPAK is impartial, he should tell us that he has also investigated other companies.
Hoxha : SPAK is only investigating ministers and former prime ministers. For the other companies, the prosecutor who failed in the vetting, Antoneta Sevdari, left her position and she has been investigating all the companies. This investigation has been discontinued. SPAK has received the entire bundle and it is not known where it will go.
Sejamini : Will everyone be investigated, except for Mr. Meta?
