The session held at the Special Anti-Corruption Court for the 'Gërdeci' case, where 15 witnesses were called to testify, has ended. Meanwhile, the next session with 15 other witnesses will be held on October 27, at 12:00. According to information from the 15 witnesses called today, only 11 of them testified.

So far, among the people who have testified are the couple Durda, Zamira and Feruzan Durda, the parents of Erison who was killed by the explosion of ammunition, on March 15, 2008, Drita Cani and Alketa Hazizi who worked inside the dismantling factory, as well as the former guard of the factory, Fejzi Shehu.

Cani and Hazizi, in their testimony, showed that they were hired to dismantle without any experience or training. While the former guard Fajzi Shehi said that he saw the moment when gunpowder caught fire inside the dismantling factory from welding.

Meanwhile, Zamira Durda accused that this is a state crime and that the boy was killed by the army. She left two notebooks of her late son in the courtroom and recalled that her son had last been at school on March 13, 2008, and asked that the court's decision be written in these notebooks left in the middle, just like life of her son

On the other hand, the defense lawyers asked the witnesses several times if they ever saw the former Minister of Defense at the dismantling factory. The witnesses replied that they did not see it, adding that the shells and ammunition were transported by military forces and an army truck.

We remind you that the case against former minister Mediu has been reopened after Zamira Durdaj, who lost her son in the Gërdec incident, reported him to SPAK.
