Despite the rain that has engulfed the capital this evening, protesters have not given up on their civic action and have continued marching through the streets of Tirana as part of the 25th protest against the government.
Equipped with umbrellas and other means to protect themselves from the rain, citizens have started marching on some of the main axes of the capital. During their movement, protesters called out against the government and repeated the demands they have articulated for weeks in rallies held in Tirana.
Among the most heard slogans were "Rama resigns", "Down with dictatorship", "Revolution" and "New Albania", while participants expressed their dissatisfaction with the economic situation, corruption, unemployment, emigration and other social issues.
The continuous rain did not affect the participation of citizens, who continued the march along the route determined by the organizers. At several points, the protesters stopped to give speeches and convey their messages to state institutions.
The participants stated that their presence at the protest despite the bad weather is an indication of their determination to continue the civic action. According to them, the rain cannot diminish the citizens' dissatisfaction nor hinder the protests that have been taking place for several weeks.
