The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his speech at the inauguration ceremony of the Namazgja Mosque in Tirana, said that he wishes that this mosque will benefit all believers.
Erdogan added that this is one of the most complete and largest mosques in the Balkans, as he thanked everyone who contributed to its construction. He emphasized that this mosque will hold 10,000 believers and that it was created with the latest technology and all modern conditions.
Dear Prime Minister Edi Rama, my precious friend, invited Albanian brothers and sisters and friends, I thank you from the bottom of my heart . Today I am very enthusiastic and happy to be here with you. I thank each of you for this emotion you gave me. I am lucky today to be in this sacred environment... I express my deepest thanks to the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama for all the support and all the Albanians who have contributed even a little to the realization of this magnificent work.
We have designed the great mosque as a structure that in its interior carries values from tradition to the future and to the newest technology that has been used, as you can see, the Ottoman architecture that dominates the Balkans is served very nicely. This mosque is built on 10,000 square meters and will serve 10,000 believers who pray. The mosque was built not only as an object of cult or worship, but it is thought to be much wider that it will serve the believers, inside it there are halls, study rooms, and rooms for those with disabilities. We thus target the wealthy community of Albania under the motto located within the Namazgja complex. This mosque will be the symbol of friendship, brotherhood and solidarity between us ," he said.
