After the start of the war in Iran, news flooded Albania that our country is among the most endangered countries. Some media outlets, intentionally or not, quoted various anonymous portals, claiming that the Mujahideen camp in Manzë could be the object of an attack from Iran, without considering how far away Iran is, whether it has such a distant missile capacity, etc. Today there was a reaction from the “Asharaf” camp itself in Manzë, where it denied the news, while a rather exhaustive article was written by the Iranian opposition media outlet “Iran Probe”, which we are publishing below in full.

Recently, some Albanian media outlets have reported threats from the Iranian regime to launch missile attacks against Albania, specifically targeting the Ashraf3 compound, where several thousand members of the Iranian Mujahedeen (MEK) live, has been presented as the main target of these suspected attacks.
Iran Probe’s investigations show that the source of these rumors in Albania are two individuals named “Olsi Jazexhi” and “Gjergj Thanasi.” Both of them are widely known on social media and in public opinion in Albania as agents of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence.
What is the truth?
The truth is that the Iranian regime lacks the missile capability to reach Albania. Iran, now a country whose leadership and many of its military and security commanders have been assassinated, is attempting to create public fear by attacking civilian targets in the Middle East. However, Iran’s missiles are in no way capable of reaching Albanian soil. Thus, the threat of missile attacks on Albania is completely illogical. Furthermore, the Iranian regime currently lacks any capability to confront NATO or support a war on European soil.
Therefore, the rumors of a missile attack on Albania are, in fact, a classic psychological operation (PsyOp) coordinated between Iran's Ministry of Intelligence and "Olsi Jazexhi" and "Gjergj Thanasi" to sow fear and cover up the regime's weaknesses.
The purpose of gossip:
The people of Albania must recognize these rumors for what they are: the last gasps of a dictatorship that, with the help of its local proxy forces, continues to try to incite panic and insecurity. “Olsi Jazexhi” and “Gjergj Thanasi,” these two proxy agents, are clearly trying to spread these rumors within Albanian society and create fear.
Regarding these two individuals, Iran Probe has previously published numerous documents showing their ties to Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence. In particular, the documents and images show “Olsi Jazexhi” participating in meetings of an Iranian intelligence agency called “New Horizon,” which has been designated by the United States as a terrorist entity and has been sanctioned.
“Olsi Jazexhi” has also openly admitted to receiving money from the Iranian regime. Documents related to his trips to Iran and the Intelligence Ministry’s plans to send him back to the country have been repeatedly exposed.
Psychological operations in the midst of failures:
At a time when the Iranian regime’s forces in the Middle East have suffered significant defeats, it is notable that these two individuals remain active in Albania. Despite Albania’s laws, they are fomenting panic and chaos by spreading such rumors. This is despite the fact that their headquarters in Tehran, the Ministry of Intelligence building, was destroyed by the US on Monday, March 2.
