The residents of Roskovec are shocked by the double murder of the two Kurtaj brothers yesterday. For Report Tv, they talk about the relationship between the two Kurtaj families and the family of the author Kuka. All the residents of the area describe the relations between them as very good, they even call them like brothers, who ate and drank in each other's homes.
A children's quarrel on September 9 led to yesterday's clash between Altin Kuka and two brothers Gramoz and Lavdimir Kurtaj, 52 and 46 years old, which ended in murder.
"The one who injured them, who is in prison, stayed with them, ate and drank. They went like brothers. The fight started only from the toads. He killed them with a machine gun.
They had nothing. We were shocked, we were speechless, we couldn't say anything. There was no confusion before. As for the children's quarrel, they did not expect it either from Altini or from these. Hardworking, honorable people. The author handed himself over to the police and drove away.
They ate and drank together, they were like brothers. The toads were taken, the boys fight, but it is the work that separated them", the residents of the area told Report TV.
While they were in the center of the village, in a bar owned by Gramos Kurtaj, 49-year-old Altin Kuka arrived there with his 21-year-old son in Kurjan of Roskovec, to clarify after the conflict that the son had with the boy of Gramos Kurtaj.
According to witnesses at the scene, the fight has degraded into insults and a physical fight between the two brothers and the perpetrator. Meanwhile, 49-year-old Kuka, who had the vehicle nearby, took an automatic firearm and shot at two brothers, one of whom died on the spot, while the other died in the regional hospital of Fier.
After the incident, the perpetrator surrendered to the Fier police station along with the crime weapon. The police are working to find out the motive of the quarrel between the young people that led to the double murder. It is learned that the author Kuka was adopted by his aunt, while one of the brothers was also adopted by his uncle.
For the villagers, this is a serious event and they are shocked, as such events have never happened in this village. We remind you that just two days ago, in a bar at the entrance of the city of Roskovec, a 15-year-old minor seriously injured a 39-year-old man with a knife for trivial reasons.
