Security expert Artur Meçollari spoke about relations between Albania and Greece after the meeting of the two prime ministers in Athens.
During his speech, Meçollari stated that Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has lost confidence in reaching an agreement with Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding the maritime issue.
" The meeting, at least regarding the sea issue, because in fact the way the Prime Minister handled it was that we have agreed, we have an agreement, we will re-create the basket of 2014-2015 where all the issues will be. And he declared that the issue will be closed in September.
So he presented it as an agreement, but the next day the details came out. Where the Greek government declared that it did not prioritize the maritime issue, but in fact, after declaring that it did not prioritize it, it also set the target for Mr. Rama.
You have to go back to 2009 and here lies the problem, why? Why this kind of disagreement on the issue of the maritime agreement? The essence is simple, the Greeks, Mitsotakis has lost faith in the issue of the agreement in Prime Minister Rama. He has lost faith that Prime Minister Rama can keep the agreement of October 20, 2020.
In fact, he cannot keep it, he cannot achieve what he agreed on October 20, 2020 with Dendias in Tirana. The point is that in these six years he has claimed three or four times that the agreement will continue.
