The Audiovisual Media Authority has officially reacted after today's protest in front of Tirana City Hall, where, among other things, journalists and media representatives were endangered as a result of the use of Molotov cocktails by the protesters.
In the official AMA response, it is stated that the uncertainty in the work of the media covering a protest or demonstration is unacceptable, it is a blow to free speech and a limitation to informing the public.
The AMA adds that the law enforcement authorities, but also the organizers of the protests, must take concrete measures to protect the activity of reporters in the field, to leave open their communication with the public in covering the dynamics of the events.

The law enforcement authorities, but also the organizers of the protests, must take concrete measures to protect the activity of reporters in the field, to leave open their communication with the public in covering the dynamics of the events.
We ask the authorities to identify as soon as possible and legally prosecute any act that directly attacks or endangers media teams on duty.
