Analyst Fatos Lubonja has commented on the anti-corruption resolution which was approved by the Assembly the day before with the votes of the socialists.
Lubonja said that these types of acts or political actions that Edi Rama has done should not be seen separately, but should be seen in the context of all the so-called things that the Prime Minister has done.
Lubonja emphasized that at the core of democracy is the separation of powers, but what Edi Rama has done in his entirety is that he has worked to control all powers.
"The justice reform has been sold as a reform to create a justice independent of politics. Now Edi Rama is trying to sell these reforms, which are essentially the control of all powers, as major reforms, as in this latest resolution that talks about the fight against corruption" , said Lubonja to News24.
Lubonja did not spare the accusations against the prime minister, saying that Rama intends to control justice.
"The problem is that while we carry out a reform in justice, which would make justice independent from politics, from the power that is currently in place, Edi Rama wants to create links of Parliament's control over these institutions. Unfortunately, the Assembly functions as an instrument of the Government, and through the Assembly, Edi Rama intends to control as much as possible this justice, which it seems is not completely under his control, and is intending to put it under the control of The Assembly, which controls it by itself" , emphasized Lubonja.
Lubonja said that Edi Rama should accept the Parliamentary Investigative Commissions, where out of 12 he accepted only 2 and he is sabotaging them, while adding that Rama needs a special parliamentary commission as a facade to control justice, and he even needs this Commission to even the opposition.
"Rama's main job is to maintain the regime, as money is collected by crime. It's just that Edi Rama intends to control justice through facade commissions in the Assembly and just as he once worked with Lulzim Basha, now he can also work with Sali Berisha", said Lubonja.
