The National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK) has called on citizens to be wary of cases of online fraud through fake websites that imitate official institutions, including the e-Albania platform.
According to AKSK, a phishing case has been identified, distributed mainly on social networks, especially Facebook, where users are redirected to pages that imitate the official e-Albania platform with the aim of stealing personal data and access credentials.
The Authority informs that immediately after identifying the case, appropriate measures were taken, while in cooperation with the Cybercrime Investigation Directorate of the State Police, the domains and IP addresses used in this malicious activity were sent for blocking to AKEP.
In the announcement, AKSK calls on citizens not to click on suspicious links sent to them through social networks or communication applications and to avoid placing personal or banking data on unverified pages.
The authority emphasizes that the official e-Albania platform is accessed only through official institutional addresses, while phishing attacks aim to deceive citizens by imitating well-known websites.
AKSK appeals for increased vigilance from every online user, in order to avoid cases of fraud and theft of personal data.
"Immediately after identifying the case, AKSK has taken the appropriate measures and in cooperation with the Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrimes at the State Police, the domains and IP addresses used in this malicious activity have been sent for blocking to AKEP. BE CAREFUL! Do not click on suspicious links that come to you on social networks or communication applications. Do not enter your personal or banking data on unverified pages. Always verify the official address of the platforms before identifying yourself. The official e-Albania platform is accessed only through official institutional addresses. Phishing attacks aim to deceive citizens by imitating well-known pages and require increased vigilance from every online user," the announcement states.
