During the night, the Gjirokastra region was hit by high-intensity rainfall, which caused the presence of water and debris on several main road axes.
Problems have been noted on the Kardhiq-Delvinë axis, near the Skërfica tunnel, on the Tepelenë-Gjirokastër axis, near the area known as Shkalla e Zezë, as well as on the Gjirokastër-Kakavijë road, opposite the village of Bularat. Thanks to the intervention of contracting companies, all axes are currently passable.
The level of the Vjosa River was also monitored, which at 06:30 reached 6.2 meters at the Memaliaj Bridge and 4.4 meters at the Përmet Bridge.
The weather situation has also caused problems in the electricity network. The villages of the Luftinja and Buzi areas in Memaliaj remain without power, as the conductors of the Miniera 1 and Maricaj feeders continue to be in contact with the flow of the Vjosa River. In Gjirokastër, a problem with the power supply is also reported in the village of Lazarat.
