UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has deemed the rejection of a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians as unacceptable as the war in Gaza intensifies.
"The refusal to accept the two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians and the denial of the right to statehood to the Palestinian people is unacceptable," Guterres declared at the closing ceremony of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement summit in Kampala, Uganda.
According to him, this would indefinitely prolong the conflict, which has become a major threat to global peace and security.
"This would indefinitely prolong the conflict, which has become a major threat to global peace and security, exacerbate polarization and embolden extremists everywhere. The right of the Palestinians to build their own state must be recognized by all," Guterres stressed.
