For several hours, Albania has been affected by bad weather, with problems on several road axes, caused by the high presence of water or landslides of soil and stones.
This has caused problems in the movement of vehicles, although emergency services and contracting firms are working to clear the roads.
Meanwhile, the State Police has appealed to drivers to be careful, especially when it comes to maintaining distance and speed.
Given the bad weather with heavy rain and storms, which has affected several areas of the country, the State Police has increased the presence of police services and appeals to citizens to avoid unnecessary movements, as well as to show caution when moving on the road, by vehicles, motorbikes or on foot.
"Police services are planned to operate throughout the country and are maximally committed to assisting road users, in cases of need, and to preventing road accidents."
State Police structures, in cooperation with Civil Emergencies, the Ministry of Defense and other institutions, are on standby to intervene in any case that poses a risk to road users and residents in areas where heavy rainfall is predicted.
Road maintenance contracting firms are working to clear debris that has fallen as a result of heavy rainfall and to unblock several segments blocked by landslides and rocks.
