This morning, the pedestrian street in the city of Berat was flooded as a result of heavy rainfall and the rising water level in the Osum River.
It is learned that dozens of businesses have been flooded, causing material damage and difficulties in daily commercial activity.
Faced with this emergency situation, Civil Protection structures, firefighting forces, and employees of the Municipality of Berat were immediately mobilized to intervene to normalize the situation.
Water has receded in some parts of the area, while work to clean up and remove debris has continued throughout the morning.
Despite the flood, after conditions improved, many businesses have resumed their activities by starting to clean and repair damaged premises.
Due to the current danger posed by the flow of the Osum River, part of the segment that passes near the park has been temporarily blocked, allowing traffic only on the main Antipatres road, which has led to an increased flow of vehicles with long queues of 2 kilometers.
