After several calm days, the week that has begun is expected to bring frequent changes in the weather. Until Friday, the country will face a relatively cool climate, where there will also be rainfall.
"I predict that this week will be cool, if we were to always compare the temperatures with what we have experienced. However, it will be unstable. It is predicted that on Tuesday the northern and northeastern areas will remain with precipitation. On Wednesday and Thursday there is a significant improvement in the weather, where there will be more clear skies although cloudiness will be present, again on Friday the rainfall will return to almost the entire eastern mountainous area", said Tanja Porja, meteorologist at Meteoalb.
Temperatures won't exceed 32 degrees, but those still enjoying the coast shouldn't worry.
"It is predicted that today, mainly the majority or the main cities of Albania will fluctuate between 30 and 32 degrees. So, these are the temperatures excluding only Elbasan and Berat, where the thermometer will mark 34 degrees. The entire other area, including the coast, will have quite normal temperatures," says Porja.
The weekend will change the picture. High temperatures will return, bringing back the heat wave.
"It is predicted that on Saturday and especially on Sunday next week, those very high temperatures will return," the meteorologist added.
Experts point out that this is a typical trend for the month of August, when cool periods are interrupted by the return of scorching heat.
